Marjoram is an aromatic herb known for its aromatherapeutic and culinary uses and good in salads.
Its botanical name Origanum Majorana means “joy of the mountain” in Greek, and was first used to make wreaths for weddings.
Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, wore wreaths in her hair believed to be made from marjoram.
Marjoram has been used in traditional and folk remedies and has anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and anti-oxidant, analgesic, anti-spasmodic and anti-viral properties.
