Hawthorn acts like a beta-blocker from old studies, it may increase the Rx drugs interaction please avoid if you are taking: Beta blockers – Atenolol (Tenormin), Nadolol (Corgard), Propranolol (Inderal, Innopran, Hemangeol). Calcium channel blockers – Diltiazem, Nifedipine (Procardia) and Verapamil (Calan SR, Verelan).
