Organic Hawthorn Berries is one of the oldest known medicinal plants a cooling astringent, diuretic, antispasmodic, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory and strengthens your heart, both physically and emotionally.

Health benefits helps with calming down anxiety and sedative for those with sleep issues. Reduces high blood pressure and decreases blood sugar levels but increases insulin. If you are insulin resistance avoid.

Berries contain flavonoids which are rich in Vitamin C and Beta-carotene, B vitamins, Pectin, Organic acids and Minerals.

The berries were used by the Chinese and called Hawthorn Fruit and the Native American Indians as a heart tonic and for gastrointestinal complaints. Hawthorn may increase the effect of certain drugs. Affect the heart-muscle contraction, like Digoxin. Hawthorn acts like a beta-blocker from old studies, it may increase the Rx drugs interaction please avoid if you are taking: Beta blockers – Atenolol (Tenormin), Nadolol (Corgard), Propranolol (Inderal, Innopran, Hemangeol). Calcium channel blockers – Diltiazem, Nifedipine (Procardia) and Verapamil (Calan SR, Verelan).
