40g $4 Organic Dandelion Tea – Medium Bag
25g $6 Glass Jar
Dandelion Tea is the leaves of the dandelion plant and combines the smokiness of Gunpowder Green and the nuttiness of China Green Tea all rolled into one and caffeine free. To me it tastes like a light spinach when it has been dried and boiled. If you harvest them from your chemical free garden you can pan fry them with a splash of oil and they become crispy and less bitter and are very yummy and a great nutrient dense food and great to detox your liver.
Cured like tea leaves these partially fermented Dandelion leaves make for a tasty tea and can be boiled to make a nutritious stock especially for vegans.
Dandelion leaves also provide a substantial amount of several minerals including iron, calcium, magnesium and potassium. As well as being full of antioxidants, they are anti-inflammatory, promote a healthy liver, and are good for digestive issues. Dandelion leaves and flowers are also very good for the skin, reducing inflammation and protecting against free radical
You may be familiar with dandelion as a stubborn garden weed, make sure there is no chemical spray on the ones you pick as this is very harmful to your health, avoid glyphosates.
Dandelion leaves are an excellent source of vitamins A, C and K. They also contain vitamin E, folate and small amounts of B vitamins.
